Caplan, who joined the franchise in ‘Now You See Me 2′ following Isla Fisher’s temporary departure, appeared on the red carpet alongside co-stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Dave Franco.
Fisher, who reprises her role in the third instalment, also attended the event with Morgan Freeman, Rosamund Pike, Ariana Greenblatt, Dominic Sessa, and Justice Smith. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer.
Speaking earlier to ScreenRant, Caplan playfully admitted she had “no clue” the movie had wrapped filming, fuelling fan speculation about the secrecy surrounding her appearance. “Fans will just have to wait and see,” she said, as the film is set for release on Friday, November 14.
Meanwhile, Eisenberg added intrigue while speaking to Entertainment Weekly, saying, “The surprise appearances in the movie are just as much fun as they are unexpected. It’s the best kind of shock — one that’s both surprising and clever.”
Newcomer Ariana Greenblatt revealed that the cast underwent magic training at Los Angeles’ famed Magic Castle to prepare for their roles. “Before opening hours, we’d spend a few hours every day learning illusions — it was such a fun experience,” she shared.
Caplan currently stars in Netflix’s six-part conspiracy thriller Zero Day opposite Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, and Connie Britton. The two-time Emmy nominee recently signed with UTA for full representation, further cementing her growing presence in both film and television.
