Two more Capital blast suspects arrested

Law enforcing agencies (LEAs) have arrested two more people allegedly involved in the November 11 suicide bombing outside the premises of district courts in Islamabad that left 12 people dead and dozens injured.

According to security sources, one of the suspects helped in bringing the suicide jacket used in the attack from Peshawar to Islamabad.

The arrested facilitator had hidden the jacket inside a sack of jaggery to smuggle it into Islamabad. He had later concealed it under a tree for three days.

Later, the same jacket remained with a tailor for alteration for a few days. Sources revealed that the tailor has also been taken into custody as he knew that the jacket was meant to be used in a suicide attack.

According to a statement published on the official X account of the Government of Pakistan, the LEAs on Friday arrested four people allegedly involved in facilitating the bombing.

The Intelligence Bureau Division (IBD) and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) rounded up the alleged facilitators all belonging to the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in a joint operation.
