The Lahore Arts Council’s newly appointed Executive Director Muhammad Nawaz Gondal has said that Alhamra was one of Pakistan’s most respected cultural institutions.
He expressed these views during an introductory meeting on Thursday.
Signalling a renewed phase of institutional alignment and cultural advancement, he said: “We will introduce new initiatives that foster creativity, strengthen administrative systems, and expand Alhamra’s outreach across Lahore and beyond.
My priority is to build on existing strengths while opening new pathways for artistic and cultural growth.”
The meeting underscored Alhamra’s role as Punjab’s premier cultural centre, serving as a vital platform for literature, performing arts, heritage preservation, and creative expression.
