LUMHS denies medicines shortage

The administration of Liaquat University Hospital (LUMHS), Hyderabad and Jamshoro has strongly refuted misleading claims about the alleged shortage of medicines and medical facilities at the Civil Hospital, assuring the public that all essential treatments are available.

In an official statement, the administration described the circulating propaganda as misleading and exaggerated, emphasising that there is no deficiency of medicines at the Civil Hospital and that comprehensive treatment facilities remain fully operational. While some diagnostic equipment is aging and replacement with modern machinery is being planned, the administration clarified that this is not due to negligence.

The hospital confirmed that all essential medicines are being provided regularly through approved procurement mechanisms. The statement added that while all medical equipment and machinery are available, certain diagnostic devices have reached the end of their operational life, which does not indicate dysfunction or administrative negligence.
