Safdar appeared at the event wearing a deep navy blue traditional kurta, featuring golden buttons and a minimalist cut that gave the attire a regal touch. He complemented the outfit with a golden-brown shawl draped traditionally over his shoulder.
According to Express News, the mehndi ceremony of Junaid Safdar — grandson of Pakistan Muslim League-N President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif — was attended by members of the Sharif family and the family of the bride, Shanaya Ali Roheel, along with close relatives and friends. Renowned dancer Wahab Shah was specially invited to perform at the event.
A reception for around 350 guests was arranged, with the Sharif family hosting a traditional feast featuring local and desi dishes. Safdar’s baraat is scheduled to depart on Saturday at 1pm for Lake City, where arrangements have been made to host around 400 guests, including members of the Sharif family and relatives.
The Valima ceremony will be held on Sunday at the Jati Umra Farms, with approximately 800 guests invited. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, federal and provincial ministers, senior political leaders and foreign guests are expected to attend the walima reception.
