The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Sardar Mohammad Bux Maher. One of the major announcements from the meeting was the approval to extend the Thar Jeep Rally’s track from 92 kilometres to 150 kilometres. Moreover, preparations for the 19th Sindh Games have already begun. Maher confirmed that the provincial government will seek approval from the chief minister for the budget of the games. The games are expected to feature athletes from all across the province.
The Sindh Special Games are also scheduled to be held in Karachi from February 13 to 15. A cricket tournament, named after Sardar Ghulam Mohammad Khan Maher, will take place in Sukkur from January 15 to February 15, with 40 teams from PCB-approved clubs set to participate.
