According to details, the deceased has been identified as Muhammad Ibrahim, son of Sultan, had gone to Mansehra to attend his grandfather’s funeral. During the night, he slept in a room along with his cousins after burning coal for warmth.
As a result, toxic fumes accumulated in the room, leading to suffocation. Muhammad Ibrahim died on the spot, while the other children fell unconscious and were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The deceased was a second-year student. As a severe cold wave continues to grip the Hazara region, concerns are growing that the number of deaths caused by gas suffocation and unsafe heating practices may further increase.
