The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement on X, said, “During the visit, President Tokayev is expected to meet with the President of Pakistan, hold talks with the Prime Minister, and address the Pakistan-Kazakhstan Business Forum.”

The president will be accompanied by a high-level delegation, comprising senior cabinet ministers and other high-ranking officers, the statement said.
“The visit will provide the two sides an important and timely opportunity to undertake a comprehensive review of bilateral relations, discuss new avenues for broadening cooperation, particularly in trade, logistics, regional connectivity, people-to-people contacts, and explore collaboration at regional and international forums.”

The statement said the visit reflects the strengthening bonds between the two countries, their mutual commitment to transforming historic and cultural affinities into robust cooperation, and their common desire for peace and progress in the region.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is also set to visit Pakistan on February 5 and 6.
According to Uzbekistan’s UzA news agency, Mirziyoyev’s visit to Pakistan and the high-level talks in Islamabad will take place against the backdrop of an unprecedented intensification of bilateral political dialogue.
“The talks are aimed at the practical implementation of a key economic objective: increasing the volume of mutual trade to $2 billion in the coming years. The central element of the agenda will be the structural transformation of economic cooperation,” the report said.
UzA also quoted the Uzbek Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade as saying that the Uzbekistan-Pakistan Business Forum and the “Made in Uzbekistan” Exhibition will take place in Islamabad on February 5-6.
