The cases include appeals filed by the Punjab government against Imran Khan’s bail as well as an appeal against the grant of bail to Bushra Bibi.
The bench will also hear an appeal against Imran Khan in the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) criminal complaint, cases related to the PTI founder’s official secretariat, and appeals filed by the National Accountability Bureau in the Al-Qadir
Trust case.
Appeals against the acquittal of Imran Khan and Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cipher case are also scheduled for hearing, along with government appeals against bail in the May 9 Lahore cases.
The court will also hear Imran’s appeals against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in defamation cases. The registrar’s office has issued notices to all relevant parties and their counsel.
Former prime minister Imran Khan, detained at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail since August 2023, has been convicted in a number of cases including iddat case, cipher case and Al Qadir Trust case. These cases were filed after ouster of his government in April 2022.
