Court extends interim bail of Ducky Bhai’s wife in gambling app case

The Lahore Sessions Court on Wednesday extended the interim bail of Aroob Jatoi, wife of YouTuber Saadur Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, in the case concerning the promotion of a gambling app.

Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ali Qureshi extended her bail until March 24 and instructed her to ensure her attendance in future hearings, warning that no exemptions would be granted under her bail going forward.

On Monday, the court indicted Ducky Bhai, Aroob Jatoi, and other co-accused in a case registered by the National Counter Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on charges of promoting gambling and betting applications.

The case, registered on August 17, falls under sections 13 (Electronic Forgery), 14 (Electronic Fraud), 25 (Spamming), and 26 (Spoofing) of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), along with sections 294-B (offering prizes in connection with trade) and 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

During the hearing, the NCCIA investigating officer requested that the accused’s mobile phone be subjected to forensic examination. The court granted the request, allowing time for the forensic process to be completed.

Aroob Jatoi’s lawyers, Usman and Aftab, citing delays in obtaining the forensic report, requested that the next hearing be scheduled after Ramazan. The court approved the request.

Ducky Bhai, one of Pakistan’s most-subscribed YouTubers with over 800 videos and more than 10 million subscribers, was arrested on August 17, 2025, after the NCCIA registered a case against him.

He was detained at Lahore Airport while attempting to leave the country, and his name was placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL). The FIR was lodged under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, and relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code.
