The spotlight is set on the newly released poster for Khan Tumhara, as Maya Ali and Bilal Ashraf unveil the official print for their upcoming film, set to release on Eidul Adha 2026.

The film, written by Mustafa Afridi and directed by Mohammed Ehteshamuddin, features an international crew, with the team led by Nick Khan who worked on Marvel’s Eternals and Hussain Abdullah who worked on Skyfall, according to Variety.

The poster for the production encapsulates the film’s violent tone, featuring Ashraf draped in the Pakistani flag and gripping a gun, while Ali appears alongside him in a vividly coloured outfit, smiling at the camera. This hints at a dynamic contrast in their characters.

An action-heavy trailer, released in November 2026, introduced Ashraf as the central protagonist, Yusuf Khan. A dialogue from the trailer hints at Yusuf’s story: “The pharaohs of our time wear but a single face, a face I am sworn to recognise. I will find them and I will rise up. And I will talk the sacred line decreed by God. My name is Yusuf Khan, this is my story.”

With sequences of violence and bloodshed, the trailer sets a gritty tone. It also shows brief glimpses of Ali, who takes on the role of Nargis, shooting a gun, suggesting her role may extend beyond that of a conventional love interest, adding emotional depth to the narrative.

Filming for the action-heavy sequences alone reportedly spanned 70 days in Pakistan. Ashraf is said to have performed his own stunts without the use of body doubles, sustaining multiple injuries during shooting.

Reflecting on the project, Ehteshamuddin remarked, “For years, Pakistani cinema has flirted with action but we have never truly let it bleed. Khan Tumhara is our answer to that hesitation.”

The film marks Ali’s return to the big screen after a seven-year hiatus. She is widely recognised for her performances in the drama Mann Mayal (2016) and her hit film Teefa in Trouble (2018) alongside Ali Zafar.

Meanwhile, Ashraf is best known for his roles in Superstar (2019) and the romantic comedy Janaan (2016), with both setting his place in contemporary Pakistani cinema.
