PDP Karachi President Abdul Hakim, along with district presidents Salman Nawab, Shakir Ali, and Sajawal Khan Marwat, spoke to delegations at the Pasban Secretariat and highlighted the daily 15 to 16 hours of gas outages affecting households citywide. They said gas bills have been doubled while supply is limited to just nine hours a day, placing an additional burden on already struggling citizens.
The party leaders warned that in the current economic climate, many residents live below the poverty line, and the lack of gas has disrupted household routines. Citizens are reportedly being forced to buy expensive LPG cylinders or rely on restaurant meals, both of which are beyond their financial capacity, further adding to public hardship.
