Tisdale starred as Sharpay, a determined and flamboyant character, in all three High School Musical films. According to her, Jupiter’s interest in the movies was sparked after watching her cousin portray Sharpay in a school play. Prior to that, she had shown little interest when watching the films at home.
Tisdale noted that her daughter’s favourite is High School Musical 2, and the song “Humuhumunukunukuapua’a” is played on repeat in their home. She jokingly admitted, “I hate that song,” but said she listens to it often for her daughter’s enjoyment.
Reflecting on the situation, Tisdale said it has been meaningful to see her daughter enjoy something that played such a significant role in her career. While she is happy to see the connection forming, she jokingly added that after a full week of nonstop viewing, she’s ready for a short break from the franchise.
