A tribal clash between Sundrani and Brohi clans on Thursday claimed lives of four people of the former group in Shikarpur district. The slain persons, Noor Muhammad Sundrani, Nizam Ahmed Sundrani, Adam Sundrani and the car driver Rasool Bux Marfani, were returning from a hearing in a court of law when their car was ambushed near a toll plaza.
According to police, armed men on motorbikes sprayed bullets on the deceased before making an easy escape. The Sundranis blamed Brohis for the killing. The community staged a sit-in protest at the toll plaza, demanding police action against Brohis.
The protest ended after assurance of the district’s SSP Shahazeb Chachar who told that DSP Paras Bakrani has been tasked to investigate the matter.
