Twin murders orphan four in Hyd domestic violence tragedy

An apparent case of domestic abuse and violence deprived four children of their parents in a back to back twin murders in a village in Hyderabad on Saturday morning. A man, who had reportedly spent 12 years in jail for killing two persons, assaulted his wife with a sharp object which claimed her life in village Khuda Bux Panhwar in the jurisdiction of Husri police station.

In instant revenge, 50-year-old Ali Nawaz Panhwar was axed to death by men from his in laws the same morning. The SHO Husri Juman Khoso told that Ali Nawaz often used to subject his slain wife, 35-year-old Hafeezan Panhwar, to domestic violence. According to him, the slain man was also a drug addict.

The police shifted both the dead bodies to Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) for postmortem. The incident’s FIR was not registered by the evening. The police, however, rounded up a brother and a nephew of the slain woman but their arrest was not declared.

Tortured body found

A tortured body was recovered from the Sultanpur canal near Odero Lal Station on Saturday. The deceased was later identified as Parkash Bheel, son of Gomo Bheel. He was a father of five children. The family has termed the incident a brutal murder and demanded immediate arrest of those responsible.

According to police, Parkash Bheel was allegedly subjected to severe torture before being killed, and his hands and feet were tied before the body was thrown into the Rohri Canal.

Victim’s brother stated that Parkash had gone to have tea three days ago and went missing afterward. The family searched for him but found no clues. Upon receiving news of the body, the relatives went to the Rural Health Centre at Odero Lal Station and confirmed his identity. The family said that he had no known enmity with anyone.
