The Sindh Cabinet has approved a surrender policy for bandits in riverine areas, aimed at restoring peace in the affected regions. The Cabinet suspended the controversial notification regarding the Benevolent Fund for government employees during a meeting at CM House. A committee was formed to review and propose a new framework that could extend financial benefits to employees at the time of retirement, not just in case of death or disability.

The Cabinet also approved the 2025-26 Wheat Release Policy, allowing the distribution of 1.26 million metric tons of wheat to flour mills and chakki operators at an average price of Rs9,500 per 100-kg.

The Cabinet abolished the fee for death certificate registration across the province, absorbing NADRA’s service charges into the provincial budget to ensure citizens can access the service free of cost.

The Cabinet also amended the Succession Certificates Act (2021) to strengthen protections for minor and mentally challenged heirs and penalise false declarations under Section 198 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
