The United Arab Emirates has announced lower fuel prices for April 2025, marking a decrease compared to March. The Fuel Prices Monitoring Committee approved the new rates on Monday, March 31, in line with global oil price fluctuations.

Petrol prices in the UAE are adjusted monthly based on the average global oil price, with distribution costs factored in. The revised rates, effective from April 1, are:

Super 98 petrol: Dh2.57 per litre (down from Dh2.73)

Special 95 petrol: Dh2.46 per litre (down from Dh2.61)

E-plus 91 petrol: Dh2.38 per litre (down from Dh2.54)

For motorists, this reduction translates to fuel savings of Dh7.65 to Dh11.84 per full tank, depending on vehicle type.

Estimated Full Tank Costs by Vehicle Type

Compact cars (51-litre tank):

Super 98: Dh131.07 (previously Dh139.23)

Special 95: Dh125.46 (previously Dh133.11)

E-plus 91: Dh121.38 (previously Dh129.54)

Sedans (62-litre tank):

Super 98: Dh159.34 (previously Dh169.26)

Special 95: Dh152.52 (previously Dh161.82)

E-plus 91: Dh147.56 (previously Dh157.48)

SUVs (74-litre tank):

Super 98: Dh190.18 (previously Dh202.02)

Special 95: Dh182.04 (previously Dh193.14)

E-plus 91: Dh176.12 (previously Dh187.96)

The UAE’s fuel pricing system was deregulated in 2015 to align local prices with global oil markets. The latest price cut provides some relief to motorists amid ongoing global economic fluctuations.
