On the night of 29–30 October 2025, security forces detected and thwarted an infiltration attempt by a group of khwarij in Bajaur District. Four militants were killed in the IBO including the TTP leader.

Amjad, deputy to khwarij leader Noor Wali and head of the Rehbari Shura of the India-linked Fitna al Khwarij, was a high-value target with a PKR 5 million bounty. He was actively involved in terrorist activities inside Pakistan while based in Afghanistan.

The leadership of Fitna al Khwarij continues to use Afghan soil to orchestrate attacks and boost the morale of militants in Bajaur and Mohmand. Pakistan reiterates that the Interim Afghan Government must prevent its territory from being used for terrorism.

Security forces remain committed to defending the nation’s borders. A sanitization operation is underway to eliminate any remaining militants, as part of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign Azm-e-Istehkam, approved under the National Action Plan.
