The slain officer, Constable Qeemat Khan, was laid to rest with full state honors at the Police Lines in Tank.
Unidentified armed men kidnapped Constable Qeemat Khan from Sheikh Azam Khora in Daud Khel village when he was returning home from duty. The attackers later shot him dead.
A large number of police officers, personnel, and officials of security forces, including District Police Officer (DPO) Tank Shabbir Hussain Shah, attended the funeral prayer. Senior officers placed floral wreaths on the martyr’s coffin and a smartly turned-out police contingent presented a salute.
After the funeral, special prayers were offered for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks, national security, and lasting peace in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, police officials paid glowing tributes to the fallen constable, vowing that his sacrifice would not go in vain. They reaffirmed their commitment to continue the fight against terrorism until complete peace is restored in Tank and across the nation. Operations against anti-state elements, they said, would be intensified to ensure public safety and stability.
