Film and television actor Parveen Sangeeta has alleged that she had received death threats and her crew members were unlawfully confined and tortured during a shoot in Lahore, prompting police to register a case.
According to police sources, Sangeeta complained in her application that she was threatened during shooting, while members of her team were allegedly held hostage and subjected to violence.
Acting on her complaint, police registered an FIR carrying sections related to torture, confinement, extortion, and threats to kill. The FIR states that the actor was busy filming at Talaat Park when she felt unwell and left briefly to visit a doctor.
During this time, a man identified as Ahmad Jahangir Baloch, who allegedly presented himself as an advocate, arrived at the location and demanded money.
