City celebrates Christmas

The Christian community celebrated Christmas with joy, devotion, and vibrant traditions. Special prayer services were held in churches across the metropolis where choristers sang hymns, and congregations offered prayers for peace, security, prosperity, and national development.

Homes, streets, and churches were decorated with colourful banners, lights, Santa Claus figurines, and Christmas trees, creating a festive atmosphere that captivated passersby.

In Christian-majority neighbourhoods, celebrations included cake-cutting ceremonies and gift distributions by Santa, delighting children and reinforcing the spirit of joy and togetherness. Families donned new clothes, shared festive meals, and exchanged gifts, highlighting long-standing traditions of renewal, love, and community. Strict security arrangements ensured a safe and smooth celebration throughout the city.

CM Murad hosted a Christmas event at the CM House, stressing peace, interfaith harmony, and national unity.
