The video, recorded on January 1 near Karachi University, captured the man inside a vehicle performing obscene acts while the woman filming demanded his immediate arrest. The clip quickly spread on social media, drawing widespread condemnation from the public.
District East SSP Zubair Nazir Sheikh had directed the SHO of Mobina Town police station, Chaudhry Nawaz, to trace and arrest the suspect without delay. SHO Nawaz said the police operation employed modern technical methods, leading to the arrest of the accused within 24 hours. The suspect has been identified as Mohiuddin, son of Mukhtar Ahmed, a resident of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Block 3.
A case has been registered against him under relevant provisions of the law. Police stressed that immoral and indecent acts in public places will not be tolerated and assured that strict legal action will continue against violators. Meanwhile, a video statement by the arrested man has surfaced, in which he is seen apologising for his actions with folded hands.
