The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), following approval of the federal cabinet, has notified the Policy Framework for Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) Services in Pakistan to promote competition, innovation, and enhanced consumer choice in the telecommunications sector.
The framework enables MVNOs to offer nationwide mobile and next-generation mobile services under their own brand identities through commercial agreements with licensed Mobile Network Operators, without holding spectrum, said a press release issued here Wednesday.
