A team of journalists investigating the discharge of toxic industrial waste into coastal lakes was stopped from media coverage at Zero Point, raising concerns about transparency in reporting environmental crises.
Waste from sugar mills, alcohol factories, and other industries in Badin, Sujawal, and Tando Muhammad Khan is being released into Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD), Amir Shah, and Karo Ghangro drains.
This has led to alarming pollution in coastal areas, natural lakes, and water reservoirs, posing serious threats to human life, livestock, and aquatic resources.
