The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported that the epicenter was located at 36.99°N latitude and 71.41°E longitude in the Hindu Kush region.
Residents in affected cities reported strong shaking, prompting many to evacuate homes and offices and seek safety in open areas.
There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties. Authorities continue to monitor the situation.

Last month, strong earthquake tremors were felt in Islamabad and surrounding areas, triggering panic among residents. According to the seismic centre, the earthquake measured 6.1 on the Richter scale and struck at a depth of 159 kilometres.
The tremors were clearly felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Swat, Malakand, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Skardu and Abbottabad, as well as other parts of the country. Tremors were also reported in Azad Kashmir and Indian-administered Kashmir.
