Iran has alerted neighbouring countries and Muslims of a region to a “false flag” campaign orchestrated by the United States and Israel to falsely implicate Tehran in drone attacks across the region.

According to a statement issued by Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters on social media platform X, the two countries have copied Iran’s Shahed-136 drone and are carrying out attacks under a different name — the “Lucas drone.”

“The US/Israel, defeated on the military battlefield and in political alliances against Iran, has resorted to deception and trickery,” read the statement.

The Iranian military command claimed the move is part of a “deceptive and satanic plan” designed to conduct attacks on targets in regional countries and then blame the Iran.

The statement said that the objective of the campaign is to create mistrust among neighbouring states, sow division between Iran and regional countries, and distort what Tehran calls the “defensive and legitimate” actions of its armed forces.

Khatam al-Anbiya said Iran’s military doctrine in confronting the United States and Israel is based on legal principles and strategic logic, stressing that Tehran targets only the interests, centres and objectives of the two countries.

It added that whenever Iran carries out a military strike, it accepts responsibility through an official statement.

The command also referred to recent attacks in neighbouring and friendly countries — including Turkey, Kuwait and Iraq — which it said had been falsely attributed to Iran.

Iran urged governments and people across the region not to be misled by what it called divisive propaganda and conspiracies.

The statement further called for unity and cooperation among regional countries, saying that wise responses by their leaders could thwart the alleged plot and prevent tensions from escalating.
