Sindhiani Tehreek leader Hoor-un-Nisa laid to rest

The leader of the Awami Tehreek and Sindhiani Tahreek Hoorun Nisa Palijo passed away at her residence in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi. She had been suffering from respiratory problems for some time.

Later, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The deceased was laid to rest on Saturday at Goth Mangar Khan Palijo in Jang Shahi along with the tomb of her brother Rasool Bakhsh Palijo.

She was the sister of stalwart nationalist leader Rasool Bakhsh Palijo and former MPA Ghulam Qadir Palijo and paternal aunt of chief of the National Awami Tehreek, Ayaz Latif Palijo and former senator and former provincial minister Sasi Palijo. The funeral prayers and burial rituals were attended by Ayaz Latif Palijo, Advocate Wasind Thiri, Noor Ahmed Katiyar, Abdul Qadir Ranto, Izhar Dawood Pota, Sattar Rind, Advocate Sajjad Ahmed Chandio, Lal Jarwar, Advocate Ismail Khaskheli, Dr. Rasool Bakhsh Khaskheli, the central president of the Sindhiani Tehreek, Umra Samoon, Noor Bano Mallah, Sajida Bano and others in large numbers.

Thari said that Hoor was among the vanguard of Sindh’s national and class struggle and worked passionately till the last breath of her life. Sindh United Party President, Syed Zain Shah has said that Hoor played an important role in the national struggle of Sindh and the struggle for women’s rights in every era.. Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party Chairman Dr Qadir Magsi said in his message that the struggle of Hoor will always be remembered.
