Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bat first against Lahore Qalandars in the final of the tenth edition of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Sunday in Lahore.

Glladiators recovered from an early setback to top the group stage and booked a place in the final after beating Islamabad United in the first playoff.

Qalandars, by contrast, endured a rollercoaster season. After a strong start that saw them among the early leaders, a series of defeats left them close to elimination.

They kept their campaign alive with a crucial win over Peshawar Zalmi in what was effectively a knockout match. Despite sloppy fielding in the first eliminator, they eased past Karachi Kings before securing a place in the final by routing defending champions Islamabad United in Eliminator 2.
