Grande had previously mentioned in a January interview with Variety that the deluxe album was “in the can,” meaning it was completed and ready for release. The singer also noted that she wanted to take some time away from the spotlight, allowing her audience to “miss her for two seconds” before dropping the new content. Although she hesitated to confirm the exact release date, Grande teased that it was coming soon.

The deluxe edition follows the original Eternal Sunshine album, which debuted over a year ago. Grande received three Grammy nominations for the album, including Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “The Boy Is Mine” remix featuring Brandy and Monica.
Fans can look forward to the release of Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead on March 28.
