In a statement, Qaiser said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto made invaluable contributions to democracy, which remain a proud chapter in Pakistan’s history. He noted that the PPP had played a pivotal role in framing the 1973 Constitution, yet it now seems inclined towards a “politics of compromise.”
“If the PPP completely rejects the 27th Amendment, it will mark its genuine return to people-oriented politics,” Qaiser asserted.
Expressing regret over the judiciary’s recent conduct, the PTI leader said the courts’ approach was “deeply disappointing.” He warned that if cases are moved forward or delayed on political grounds or under administrative pressure, it would severely damage the judiciary’s credibility.
Qaiser further remarked that when a larger bench gives a verdict and it is ignored, it raises serious questions about the justice system. “Today, justice has vanished and the rule of law has eroded. The judiciary must rise to fulfill its primary duty, ensuring justice and protecting the people’s rights,” he said.
