His remarks came a day after Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Affairs Ikhtiyar Wali Khan issued a similar warning, stating that authorities were now “seriously considering” relocating the former premier from Adiala Jail.
Speaking to a private television channel on Thursday, Sanaullah said PTI as a party—and Imran Khan individually—had repeatedly criticised state institutions, adding that such remarks were unacceptable to the public. He alleged that India was an enemy state and yet Imran Khan had “supported its propaganda.”

He said there was currently no workable mechanism for dialogue with the PTI. While efforts were made in the past, he added, negotiations stalled due to the former prime minister’s own statements.
Sanaullah urged PTI supporters not to disturb law and order outside the jail. “If they make it a permanent routine to protest every Tuesday and Thursday near Adiala,” he warned, “the government may consider transferring Imran Khan to another jail.”
The adviser said PTI and its founder must distance themselves from the May 9 events, retract past statements and apologise. “Only in such a situation might a path open,” he added, warning that if Khan stands by his earlier narrative, the deadlock will remain.
Sanaullah said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had consistently taken a clear political and democratic position by advocating dialogue and understanding. He noted that the government also supported political engagement among all parties, recalling that the DG ISPR had similarly encouraged inter-party dialogue.
