Haris Rauf fined 20% of match fee for code breach against England

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has fined Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf 20% of his match fee for breaching the code of conduct during the One-Day International (ODI) tri-nation series match against England on Sunday.

According to an ICC statement, Rauf was also handed one demerit point, taking his total to five over the past 24 months.

The incident occurred at the end of the 46th over of Pakistan’s innings, when Rauf was involved in a heated exchange with England all-rounder Will Jacks.

Match officials said Rauf continued arguing with the English player despite being warned by an on-field umpire, constituting a breach of the ICC code of conduct.

It was Rauf’s third code of conduct offence in the past two years, according to the ICC.

Meanwhile, England captain Harry Brook was fined 15% of his match fee for maintaining a slow over rate.

Match officials found England three overs short of the required rate within the allotted time.

The ICC said both Rauf and Brook accepted the charges and sanctions imposed by the match officials, meaning no formal hearing was required, and the matter was concluded.
