House heist crew arrested

A three-member notorious robbery gang was arrested by District Korangi Police on Friday. The gang, including a woman, was allegedly involved in multiple home invasion robberies across the area. Police recovered stolen gold jewellery, gold and silver biscuits, diamond rings, cash, mobile phones and weapons during the operation.

According to police officials, the arrested suspects were identified as Abdullah Bengali, Fayyaz Abbas alias Bubbly and Lubna, wife of Ilyas Rehman. Authorities said the gang had recently carried out several house robberies within the jurisdictions of Zaman Town, Korangi and Shah Faisal police stations.

During the crackdown, police recovered two 30-bore pistols along with looted valuables including gold ornaments, gold and silver biscuits, diamond rings and more than 20 mobile phones.

Police said the gang allegedly broke into the house of citizen Muhammad Hassan in Korangi No 3, Sector 51-B, on January 21, where they held family members hostage before fleeing with jewellery, cash and household items.

In another incident on January 27, the same group allegedly entered the house of Muhammad Riaz in Korangi No 2, held the family hostage and escaped with gold and mobile phones. During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to involvement in multiple house robberies and other street crimes across different parts of the city.
