The decision was taken during a high-level law and order meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, jointly chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

The meeting brought together senior officials from key national institutions, including the National Database and Registration Authority, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, alongside the inspector general of the Federal Constabulary. Each institution delivered a detailed briefing on ongoing actions to curb illegal activities, enhance operational capacity, and stabilize the overall security environment.

A major decision during the session was the deployment of two wings of the Federal Constabulary in the first phase. Approximately 3,000 personnel will be positioned across various sensitive zones to reinforce policing efforts and prevent subversive activities.

To further tighten law enforcement, the government resolved to make the FIA more active and effective in the province. All vacant positions would be filled with local recruits to generate employment opportunities for Balochistan’s youth and improve the agency’s grassroots performance.

The federal and provincial leadership also agreed to intensify monitoring of anti-state activities on social media. Strict legal action would be taken against individuals involved in spreading misinformation, hostility against national institutions or content aimed at misleading the public.

Naqvi assured the Balochistan government of unwavering federal support, reiterating that Islamabad stood firmly with the province in its fight against terrorism. He pledged enhanced professional training, resources and modern tools for the Balochistan Police, affirming that restoring and maintaining peace in the province remains a top national priority.

CM Bugti, addressing the meeting, said the provincial government was taking bold and decisive measures to root out terrorism and maintain order. He emphasised that national unity was essential in the fight against violent extremism and reaffirmed that the writ of the state would be upheld without compromise.

Bugti noted that due to coordinated efforts, the situation in Balochistan had improved markedly and that no highways were currently blocked in the name of protests.
