A minor girl who went missing from Karachi Zoo on Sunday evening has been safely recovered on Monday.
The five-year-old girl, identified as Afia, daughter of Ibrahim Baloch, is a resident of Lyari. She had gone to the zoo with her family for recreation when she got separated from her parents while playing with other children between approximately 5:30pm and 6:00pm.
The missing child was found by a family from Nazimabad, who took her along for her safety. Upon seeing news of the missing child circulating on social media, the family contacted her relatives and informed them about her whereabouts.
The child’s father, Ibrahim Baloch had registered a missing report at Garden police station. Both families later reached the Garden police station, where, after completing legal formalities, the police handed over the child to her parents.
