Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit Turkiye, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan from Sunday, the Foreign Office said on Friday, just two weeks after Pakistan and India reached a US-brokered ceasefire following a military conflict.
Premier Sharif is scheduled to travel from May 25 to 30, during which he will hold bilateral talks with leaders of the four countries on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
FO spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan said the prime minister will also express Pakistan’s gratitude for the support extended by these brotherly nations amid recent tensions with India.
The premier will also attend the International Conference on Glaciers in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on May 29 and 30, he added.
