Footage from the scene shows thick black smoke rising from the crash site. Emergency response teams have reached the location, and rescue operations are currently in progress.

Fire and emergency teams were quickly mobilised, with more than five firefighting vehicles from various city divisions being dispatched to the crash site.
The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services Department confirmed that fire control efforts were swiftly initiated as a precaution. “A team of over five fire vehicles has reached the location, and fire control measures are being carried out,” stated a senior fire department official.
The cause of the crash, along with the extent of the damage to the aircraft, is still under investigation. Both Air India and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) have launched inquiries into the incident. A technical team is also on-site to assess the situation further.
Authorities are yet to provide further details on the incident, and official confirmation is awaited.
