PIA on Tuesday cancelled six round-trip flights between Islamabad and northern regions, causing severe inconvenience to passengers.
The national flag carrier’s cancelled flights included Islamabad to Gilgit routes PK-601, PK-605, and PK-603, while return flights PK-602 and PK-604 from Gilgit to Islamabad were also grounded. Additionally, flight PK-451 from Islamabad to Skardu was cancelled.
The unexpected cancellations left passengers stranded and struggling to make alternate travel arrangements.
Meanwhile, a private airline operated its scheduled services to Skardu, with flight PA-251 departing from Islamabad and the return flight PA-252 successfully completing its journey.
