Shah Abdul Latif University cancels 1,184 LLB degrees

Shah Abdul Latif University in Khairpur has cancelled 1,184 LLB degrees from its three-year and five-year law programmes after finding the relevant documents unacceptable during a review of academic records.

According to a university notification, the cancelled degrees include 658 from the three-year LLB programme and 526 from the five-year programme.

The degrees revoked from the three-year programme belong to the 2016, 2017 and 2018 batches, while those cancelled from the five-year programme are from the 2017 batch.

The university administration said an inquiry was conducted into the records, but the relevant documents did not meet the required standards during scrutiny.

This is not the first time Shah Abdul Latif University has cancelled LLB degrees. Last year, it revoked 1,280 law degrees, while in January this year, a case was registered against 130 candidates in connection with the matter.
