Pakistan’s T20I squad, captained by Agha Salman, landed in New Zealand on Thursday ahead of the five-match series against Michael Bracewell’s Blackcaps, beginning on March 16.

The tour also includes three ODIs, concluding on April 5.

Following their arrival, the team will rest before resuming training at 1 PM local time on Friday. The squad features promising debutants Abdul Samad and Hassan Nawaz, who received their first national call-ups.

Meanwhile, New Zealand named a 15-member squad for the series, with Bracewell at the helm. The squad includes seven players from their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign. Senior spinner Ish Sodhi and pacer Ben Sears return after missing the tournament due to injury.

Kyle Jamieson and Will O’Rourke will be available for the first three T20Is, while leading wicket-taker Matt Henry will join for the final two.

The last T20I series between the sides in April 2024 ended in a 2-2 draw after the opener in Rawalpindi was washed out.
