Karachi board announces Class 9 Science results: how to check yours
The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) has announced the results of the first annual examinations 2026 for Class 9 Science Group (regular candidates).
The overall pass rate was 69.56 per cent. A total of 123,757 candidates cleared the exams.
The board registered 180,054 candidates in the Science Group. Of these, 177,923 appeared, while 2,131 stayed absent. The number of failed candidates stood at 53,849.
Thousands of candidates also cleared only some of their papers. The board said 21,999 candidates passed six papers, 11,006 passed five and 7,431 passed four. Another 4,409 passed three papers, 3,101 passed two and 2,439 passed one.
The pass rate is lower than last year. In 2025, the Science Group pass rate was 78.26 per cent, a fall of about 8.7 percentage points.
The board had earlier announced the Class 9 General Group results. Those results came on September 10, 2026.
How to check your result
Candidates can view results on the official BSEK website. The process is to visit the site, follow the result link for the relevant group and the Annual Examination 2026, and enter the examination roll number.
- Go to bsek.edu.pk.
- Open the results section and select the Class 9 (SSC Part-I) Science Group Annual Examination 2026 link.
- Enter your roll number and submit.
Candidates should keep their roll number slip ready. The board’s gazette for the examination may also be available on the website as a PDF, where candidates can search by roll number.
