While heading to her final dress fitting before her wedding to Jake Bongiovi, Brown encountered a photographer who appeared to be spying on her through a glass window. Fearing the photographer would reveal her dress to Bongiovi, Brown quickly decided to put on a different gown for the photographer to see. She chose a mermaid-style dress that was entirely different from her intended look. She dramatically pretended to find the dress, even pretending to cry. “It was the best acting of my career,” Brown said, laughing at how she had fooled the photographer into thinking it was the real gown.

During the interview, Fallon also brought up Brown’s recent marriage. Brown shared that her Stranger Things co-star, Matthew Modine, officiated her wedding. She had jokingly asked him to perform the ceremony, and although he was initially unsure, he agreed. “It was perfect,” Brown said, reflecting on her special day.
Brown and Bongiovi, who had been romantically linked since 2021, secretly wed in May 2024. Their low-key wedding with close family members was followed by a larger celebration in Italy. Brown wore a custom Galia Lahav gown for the ceremony, while Bongiovi chose an ivory tuxedo jacket.
In a recent interview, Brown also expressed her hopes of becoming a mother someday, acknowledging her young age but sharing that motherhood has always been part of her dream.
