Petrol, diesel prices cut for third consecutive day
The federal government on Wednesday reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) for the third consecutive day, announcing cuts of Rs7.06 and Rs3.71 per litre, respectively, for November 5.
According to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been reduced from Rs369.06 to Rs362 per litre, while diesel will now cost Rs387.81 per litre, down from Rs391.52.
The revised prices will take effect at midnight and remain applicable for one day, November 5, 2026.
The notification said the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised petroleum prices in accordance with the pricing mechanism issued by the federal government.
The adjustments are linked to international petroleum prices and take into account changes in global markets, Platts rates, premiums and other incidental costs, according to the Petroleum Division.
The latest reduction follows two consecutive cuts announced earlier this week.
On Tuesday, the government reduced the price of petrol by Rs5.45 per litre to Rs369.06 and diesel by Rs3.68 to Rs391.52.
A day earlier, on Monday, petrol became cheaper by Rs3.40 per litre to Rs374.51, while the price of diesel was reduced by Rs7.76 to Rs395.20.
The government has been determining petroleum prices on a daily basis in response to the Middle East crisis, while keeping rates unchanged on Saturdays and Sundays.
