Apple Original Films has unveiled the first thrilling trailer for F1, the high-octane racing drama starring Brad Pitt as former Formula 1 driver Sonny Hayes.

Directed by Top Gun: Maverick filmmaker Joseph Kosinski, the movie captures the intensity of Formula 1 racing, featuring real race cars, high-speed action, and a gripping underdog story.

The trailer, set to Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain, showcases Pitt’s character making a comeback to mentor rookie driver Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) under the guidance of a struggling team boss, played by Javier Bardem. The star-studded cast also includes Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Charlize Theron, and Zendaya.

To ensure authenticity, Kosinski worked closely with seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, who co-produces the film. Pitt and Idris trained extensively and drove actual F2 cars at speeds exceeding 180 mph on real F1 circuits.

“We wanted to capture the raw speed and adrenaline of Formula 1 racing,” Kosinski revealed, emphasizing that every track scene features real footage shot between practice sessions at races across Silverstone, Las Vegas, and Abu Dhabi.

Scored by Hans Zimmer and produced with advanced camera technology designed to immerse audiences in the race, F1 is shaping up to be a must-watch cinematic spectacle. Warner Bros. will release the film in IMAX and theaters on June 27, 2025 (North America) and June 25 internationally.
