In a significant step toward providing modern and eco-friendly transport facilities in the federal capital, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa ordered the completion of the feasibility study of Soft Wheel Electric Tram and to improve operations of electric feeder buses.
A meeting chaired by the CDA chief focused on operationalising the Soft Wheel Electric Tram and improving operations of electric feeder buses.
During the meeting, Randhawa was briefed in details on the plan to introduce electric trams in Islamabad. Speaking on the occasion, he said that providing Islamabad with state-of-the-art transport facilities is CDA’s top priority. The electric trams and feeder buses would not only offer citizens modern commuting solutions but also reduce air pollution and fuel consumption, he added.
