Seven India-backed militants killed in Balochistan, KP
At least seven India-backed militants were killed in separate security operations in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to security sources on Tuesday.
Two militants were killed during an operation in the Nok Kacha area of Chagai district in Balochistan after they allegedly set an empty water tanker on fire and attempted to flee, the sources said.
The militants were also involved in arson attacks at various locations along the N-40 highway, according to the security sources.
Eleven militants of the Fitna Al Hindustan terror group involved in similar acts of sabotage were killed on August 31, they added.
Security forces will continue operations in Balochistan until the last militant is eliminated, the sources said, adding that the forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism and establishing lasting peace in the country.
Separately, five militants of the Fitna Al Khawarij terror group were killed in an intelligence-based operation in Bara, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the militants, while their hideouts were also destroyed during the operation, security sources said.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday praised the security forces for conducting successful intelligence-based operations against Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
In a statement, the minister said the brave personnel of the security forces acted in time and thwarted the plans of the Khawarij through effective operations.
He appreciated the efforts of the forces and acknowledged their role in maintaining security.
Mohsin Naqvi specifically commended the professional capabilities of the security forces for eliminating five Khawarij in Bara and two Khawarij in Nokcha, Chagai.
He said the successful operations demonstrated the preparedness and effectiveness of the forces in dealing with security threats.
The interior minister said the government values the successful actions carried out by the security forces against Khawarij and their facilitators. He noted that such operations are important in countering militant activities and protecting the country.
Mohsin Naqvi said the personnel of the security forces are a source of pride for the nation. He added that the country holds its security forces in high regard for their commitment and sacrifices.
Reaffirming support for the ongoing efforts against militancy, the minister said that, with the backing of the nation, the complete elimination of Khawarij will be achieved.
He expressed confidence that the combined efforts of the security forces and public support would continue to strengthen the fight against terrorism.
The minister concluded by paying tribute to the security forces for their successful operations and their continued efforts against Khawarij and their facilitators in different parts of the country.
