Govt raises petrol price, cuts diesel price
The government has increased the price of petrol by 88 paisa per litre and reduced the high-speed diesel (HSD) price by Rs1.88, according to a Petroleum Division notification issued on Monday.
The price of petrol has risen from Rs392.76 to Rs393.64 per litre, while diesel has been reduced from Rs399.64 to Rs397.76 per litre.
The revised prices will take effect on October 6, 2026, under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.

The Petroleum Division said the revision was based on changes in the international market, including Platts rates, premiums and incidentals.
