Anupam Kher reunites with Robert De Niro over lunch

Anupam Kher recently shared a glimpse of his meeting with Hollywood legend Robert De Niro during his ongoing trip to the US and Canada for his stage play ‘Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane’.

Kher shared his happiness over meeting De Niro on social media, describing him as his “dearest friend” and one of the world’s finest actors.

Kher said De Niro invited him to his home, where they had lunch and spent time talking. He described the meeting as one of the highlights of his trip to America and Canada.

He thanked De Niro for inviting him to his home, hosting him for lunch and spending time with him. Kher also praised the actor for his contribution to cinema as well as his warmth and generosity as a person.

“I have the deepest respect for you, both as an actor and as a person. And I feel truly fortunate to be able to call you my friend,” Kher wrote.

Kher also expressed his gratitude to De Niro, Tiffany and their family for the warm welcome, saying the meeting gave him another beautiful memory to take home. He also thanked De Niro for the cap he gifted him, saying the gesture meant a lot to him.

The meeting comes as Kher continues his international tour with ‘Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane’, a stage production presented by Anupam Kher Studio.

The play features Kher alongside actor Swaroop Sampat, while its music has been composed by Anu Malik. It marks the first time Malik has created music for a stage play.
