KP will work with Centre, other provinces: Kundi

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said a province-wide cleanliness drive and an operation against encroachments have been launched from Peshawar, pledging that no recommendations or political influence will be entertained.

Speaking to the media in Peshawar on Monday, Kundi said the government was determined to make the entire province clean and would focus on quality development projects.

He added that an inquiry into the wheat shortage had also been launched, with its report expected soon.

The governor said the province would work in coordination with the federal government and all other provinces, adding that past differences would be set aside and all would work as one unit.

He said issues had previously been politicised, but the focus would now be on development and achieving key targets.

Kundi also said a meeting had been convened to discuss traffic laws and that measures would be taken to improve the traffic system.
