KMC official alleges police forced him to lick shoes
A case of alleged kidnapping and torture has been registered against railway police personnel on the complaint of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Director City Wardens Saim Imran following a dispute over road construction in Pehlwan Goth, Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
In his complaint, Imran said work on the road from Natha Khan to Pehlwan Goth had been underway for four months.
He maintained that he was performing traffic management duties at the site when Cantt Railway Station SHO Ahsan Rasheed and other personnel arrived and assaulted him.
Imran alleged that he was taken to an undisclosed location, where he was told to touch the officers’ feet and lick their shoes.
When he refused, he was subjected to further torture and lost consciousness. He said he regained consciousness at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
Railway officials, however, alleged that KMC was carrying out construction work on railway land and that Imran had torn the SHO’s uniform and misbehaved with him. They said railway police had tried to stop the work.
A case has been registered at Shahrah-e-Faisal police station in this regard.
